Black glass jar wall sconce in daylight, bulb off, cord visible

Carson · plug-in jar sconce

Clear jar by day, filament-warm after dusk

Material study

A clear jar held in metal

Clear glass and patterned copper. The shade stays open to the bulb, held close to the wall by the backplate.

Close view of the clear glass shade, glowing filament, and copper ring — **Visible filament**The clear cylinder leaves the bulb in view. A copper ring and small finials frame the glass without closing it in.

Hammered copper backplate with two round fittings and the plug-in cord below — **Hammered backplate**The textured plate sits flat to the wall. Two round fittings hold it in place, and the plug-in cord drops away below.

Close view of the hammered copper scroll and floral metalwork — **Patterned copper**Hammered floral metal and the scrolled frame give the rust finish its detail, from the arch down to the shade.

Plug-in install

A wall sconce that simply plugs in

The cord leaves the backplate and drops 1.8 m to a nearby outlet.

1.8 m

Mount the plate

The backplate fixes the shade to the wall, close enough for the cord to reach an outlet.

In context

Industrial glass, set close to the wall

Beside a window, on the patio, in an entryway, or next to open shelves, the jar stays close to the wall.
